Nice article about the weekend festival including a list of all the events going on throughout the weekend in conjunction with it and also telling about when good times to get good photos. Although, this is not a winter balloon rally it is of balloons. Suggest tripod and fire away. Have fun !!!!

Try to get multiple balloons in the photo. Be aware of the sky and your position relative to the sunrise. You don't want to be shooting directly into the sun, it does create a unique effect, but it kills the colors. This link shows some of the balloons we have here in Tampa, FL
