Help!!!! I need advice on software to put togather a "slideshow" for my son's wedding in March. I used a program several years ago for his high school baseball team. Action and still shots with a music background. No video. May use a "projector" connected to a computer or big screen TV and DVD player. I have a little over a month to throw this togather.

I use ProShow Gold http://www.photodex.com/eid9231/proshow/gold?gclid=CPj9zcKW-K0CFaFeTAodI3dPkw
But iMovie if you're on a Mac or windows movie maker work too. ( I think they come free or are a free download for their respective computer types.

ProShow Gold is excellent in all respects.
It is not free, however.

Good luck,

No, and I don't think you can save anything in the trial mode either. I am usually of the opinion that you get what you pay for...except I've seen some excellent iMovie videos done on a Mac......makes me think about adding that OS.

Thanks for the feedback. I think I'll try ProShow. May start with the trial (that's what's it for) lol and get a feel for it. Does the paid version have more than one license? I would like to install it on two laptops since I need to work with two about sixty miles apart.

Can you run a Mac OS on a Windows system? Non
Apple product. If so what's required, how do you get it, how much does it cost, and what are system requirements?

Not sure- I'm luck enough to do this full-time and well supported by the school I work for. Our IT gurus do all the tech stuff for us. I think in the trial mode you can make shows but you can't save them- so you'll only be able to get a feel for the interface. Syncs music easlily.

iPhoto or Aperture will work well as a slideshow program as well as a great way to edit and manage your photos.

If they don't specify what they have I assume they have a MAC. hehehhee

Don't forget PowerPoint. The latest version has many capabilities. And, the new version let's you set a PP show up as self-extracting on any computer. No need for a viewer.
