Jughead, did you buy your PortraitPro with the new deal where you can upgrade to PP-11 free? And do you find PP useful or just a gimmick?

Re: Halfshimers,,,, I recall many long years ago,,,, in a place far far away....... we had a less tech world, simplistic communications, expensive long distance, eavesdropping was not government rather the other three on the 4 party line, and jobs with GM were from 16-60, and TV was B/W only 3 channels and 12 hrs/day!!! Fewer things to keep track of, slower time frame and time to ponder and enjoy life at a steady slow pace. Today we are in a combat situation with fast multi info and complicated technology with menus in menus within menus, and 33 flavors of ice cream to chose from. Anyone want there manual 24 frame 35mm camera back... I love my P&S and tollerate my DSLR.

I could not agree more...the days when no one had to lock their doors, and the sound of the screen door hitting when you ran outta the house to play!
