Russian shoot down of Malasia jet?

I realize haw protective you are of our President, but I did not "blame" him for anything. The facts are these: The Russians have been moving Long range Surface to Air missiles into Ukraine for the use of his surrogates, many of whom are alleged to actually be Russian Military. In the past week, two planes have been shot down by long range SAMs in the same area as the airliner. The Ukranian Government says that a Russian-made SAM brought down this civilian airliner. In view of all this going on, the posture of the United States Executive, and Commander in Chief of the US Military, is to talk, and continue to GUT the military under his command.

Obviously Mr Obama is NOT responsible for what Mr Putin is doing. However he IS responsible for the climate of weakness that encourages the dictators of the world to feel they have a pretty free hand to do anything they want, and that the US will cower meekly and permit it.

I think I understand what was "nasty" about Cat's statement. It didn't come from a liberal. Dljen, you really do suffer from foot-in-mouth disease.

It's not just you, Cat, why can't we have facts...objective reporting here on threads of something breaking. Wouldn't that be more beneficial to all? I think to have begun a thread listing what you know and people adding what becomes true as time progresses would be different and much better. Why must we always fight? Why does everything have to go down to politics?

Lately, I've been having a stalker go to sites where I commented. He has made an ass of himself. This is all because I disagree with this person politically and religiously. I've never realized how bad it was until recently.

We should agree to disagree on those subjects but still remain friends. At least most of us. Cat, I like you but have not commented on your threads until this one. I hope the stalker doesn't come to this thread and disrupt it. If that happens, I apologize to you now.

Because it IS politics.
Vadimir Putin, old KGB guy who is living in the 70's, an old Marxist-Leninist who wants to reconstitute the USSR. Unfortunately, on this end we have a group of people who want to constitute a USSA, and at their head is our President, who seems to be doing everything he can to bring that about. see:

I do not consider political debate a "fight". Unfortunately some people do not understand the function of debate, whose object is information and persuasion, and see any confrontation of ideas as a bashing match. I think it is possible to be intelligent and civil and when you run out of ideas to eschew name calling until you can come up with credible arguments.

George W was not the sharpest crayon in the box, and made a lot of mistakes, mostly by listening to the wrong people. He is just a nice guy who was trying to please everybody. Neither the best nor the worst leader we ever had, but at least you got the idea he was a man with humility and a conscience.
