New camera lens - NO edits done at all. Opinions????
Learning and can take any help ..... I will learn how to edit later but I have to take it one step at a time. Lens was a Canon 55-250
For a "cheaper" lens, I know several people who have had great results. The first thing that I see that you are doing right...........not putting your subjects in the direct center of image (squirrel and gator). Keep shooting.
these look fine to me and it looks like a great lens
You have a great eye for photography. Isn't it exciting to capture images such as these? I love my Nikkor 55 - 200mm.

Very nice shoots. You are going to have some nice looking pictures when you learn to PP them. They are good now but with just a little fine tuning they will be great.

Glad to see you putting that new lens to good use! Now practice, practice, practice!
I think you have taken a perfect squirrel! A favorite critter of mine. I do think you could have improved the photo of the bridge by putting it in its element. In other words by stepping back, showing what the bridge is bridging, what other things (foliage and so on) are in its vicinity. You're too close to it so it's just a bridge. I'll get my courage up, submit something, and you can have a go at me.
And your (?) dog in the gnarly tree cavern is wonderful!
I love the squirrel and the dog in the tree...I think they are very good.
Very nice pictures! I'm not too familiar with the 55-250 lens. I would be remiss in asking, is that last picture of a Dogwood Tree? :-) Cheers.

nice shots. Love the dog in the tree.
I really like #2 with the squirrel. The squirrel seems nicely placed in the photo.
