Thanks, Peanut. I like doing still lifes but they usually aren't arranged. If I see something that I like and the lighting is nice, then I shoot it. I'm not big on shooting with flash. I prefer ambient light but I'm also trying to learn using flash so that it's not so glaring. Shooting my animals and the outdoors is probably my favorite thing to shoot. I don't use any special lighting. Just whatever is there, candles, table lamps, whatever. I really need to practice shooting moving objects because I have a hard time with that. Blurry images a lot. Hey, someone should get some action shots of you flying down the highway on your bike! What do you like to shoot. I'd still like to see more pics of St. Augustine architecture.

WW - I have seen tutorials where they put a business card in front of the on camera flash to kind of bounce it so it doesn't glare so much, do you think that is what you mean?[/quote]
Hey, that's a great idea. I've been also trying things that I've been reading about like taping a piece of paper towel over the on camera flash. And it made a huge difference. It didn't cast that ugly shadow on the wall behind the subject being shot. Thanks for the suggestion. I will have to try that, too
