Can you recall any of these snobs by name (new searches are allowed) who look down at him? I haven't seen any. If they are out there, they are probably jealous of his looks, income, and the idea he seems to believe in and enjoy what he does, as well as he undoubtedly enjoys his own classical studies. All the classical musicians I know play and enjoy pops in its place. Most of us are just sad that there are many pops lovers that don't give the classics a chance because they miss so much from that end of the musical spectrum. Amen to the post about The Duke. Now for own snobby opinion, I respect Yanni but can't stand his unending vamping and overuse of arpeggios. Thank God for Rieu who actually uses melody!
