I must ask if you have visited the forums MACRO section.
To my eye the shells lok like a true macro shot, the flowers are close ups.
Visit the MACRO section and look around for a more comprehensive understanding on Macro.

I really like the Queen Ann's Lace and clover, and the sea shells. You are making great progress in your quest with this lens.
