Ok CresQ & Kymarto. I have a busy schedule for the next month but I will try every time I have a spare moment and keep you guys updated. I want to try it with landscape photos which I haven't got many. I spend most of my time with birds & animals. Once I learn the process my subject might change.

That's awesome, thank you. I have been searching the internet and have come up with a couple things that I am going to try for you. If successful to any degree I will let you know. Cheers, Mark

I checked that out bunuweld and that is not it and Farbee is a word we use for re-enactors who show non-period items in camp and on their person, like modern eye wear, ice coolers, etc., etc.,etc..

The closest I have come to it is special effects on my A77 called retro.

Thanks for the input.

I did check Farbee before my first answer to your post, but the only answer I got with that spelling was too bizarre to fit your conversation with the dentist. The phonetically similar "farby" made more sense, and I assumed that your dentist didn't bother to spell it for you (am I right?). The Farby that I find in Google in some Hungarian (?) posts describes methods to isolate portions of the image in Adobe and selectively change their colors. I have done that with some of my images, but never called it Farbee or Farby, and I don't see any reason for giving such simple procedure an exotic name
:-)

Clearly the title was enough to get you to open the thread as it was me. One train of thought would be if the title was more specific you would get someone respond that knew the answer but less users taking a look. The other would be if the title is non specific there is a good chance a lot of users will take a look with a good chance someone may know the answer.

Just saying
