You see Silver, you are so sold into your bias that you can't understand that the politics of this country are divided on principled lines, not understanding that you limit your ability to consider what has really transpired. I have seen all kinds of criticisms coming from your side in regards to both president Bush and president Reagan, would it be intellectually honest for me to assert that that criticism was and is based on race? If you can not see that president Obama is effecting a progressive agenda, often in a constitutionally questionable manner, then I would have to conclude that there is little hope for a continued dialogue with you. If you can even begin to see this then you might recognize that his efforts are as distasteful to conservatives as Reaganomics was to progressives.

Silver, it is time for you to stop viewing the world through the glasses of your own bias and it is time for you to give yourself a break... Yes, everyone has some sort of bias, often it is a natural defense mechanism, very much like Marc Cuban recently tried to explain and to which Steven A. Smith gave a well reasoned defense of. Yes, there are certain triggers that we all have that will begin to form an opinion of people based on outward appearances but for most of us, and I suspect you would be included, those first uninformed impressions can quickly be broken down as we learn more about the individual or individuals that we encounter. Flags may go off because of appearances because like I said this is a natural defense mechanism based on information we have absorbed through our life experiences but as we meet people and interact with them those impressions can quickly be broken down... This condition is not racism, it resides within us all and is a natural condition.

Silver, you need to stop calling people racists and take a hard look at your own inability to properly give consideration to those with whom you disagree.

Silver, I came across this in different thread posted by a different member... but I will reprint just part of it here for you as it is something that you should read...

This was written by a black minister, not a white racist, I hope that it will help you to understand that principles not skin color is the largest determinant factor in criticisms aimed at our president.
