Why don't you read the post before you get your panties in a wad???? it is a different lens and a different problem. Your answer was so uncool

Clearly this response was meant for me.

You tell us this is a different lens. Well, let's examine what you have said.

On June 20, 2022 you began a post asking for assistance with a Tamron SP 200-500. "It has a it has haze on the first element beneath the front element. The other elements are all fine. What would be the repair cost for this lens?"

https://www.uglyhedgehog.com/t-742598-1.html

In response to your inquiry you received several reasonable replies from earnest readers offering their opinions.

Then, on June 30, 2022 you reopen this long dead thread, which you began in 2014, which dealt with a different lens repair issue.

However your inquiry on the 30th is: "Tamron SP 200-500mm F/5.6 Model 31A Telephoto Zoom Lens with Nikon AIS Mount

It has a it has haze on the first element beneath the front element. The other elements are all fine.
What would be the repair cost for this lens?"

My point is that you solicited advice from the community, which is fine, that is whole idea. But then you turned around and asked the identical question in a zombie thread 10 days later. Will you be continuing to ask this question until you get an answer more to your liking?

Then, when called on your action, you try to defend saying it is a different lens. Hogwash!

Enough with the righteous indignation. When you ask for advice and get plenty the forum has served its purpose.
