Contact Tamron as suggested. If that front element has fungus there is a good chance it will need replacement. Today nothing is "reasonable" and that includes photo gear.
Tamron SP 200-500mm F/5.6 Model 31A Telephoto Zoom Lens with Nikon AIS Mount
It has a it has haze on the first element beneath the front element. The other elements are all fine. What would be the repair cost for this lens?
Good and reasonable are oxymoronic. You pay a fair price for oats and you get good oats...If you don't mind them having been through the horse once, those you can get cheaper. Ron

@joecool560 - I just today opened the email estimate from Tamron for fixing a Tamron SP AF70-300mm F/4-5.6 Di VC. It has an auto-focus issue with the drive motor. The service came in at about $60. less than the average condition used gear I shopped before I sent it off. It'll have a six-month warranty when it's returned. You pay 12 bucks to have them estimate the repair, and 12 bucks to get it back after they fix it or you refuse the service but want the lens back. 800-827-8880. They'll give you a ballpark idea of the cost. You have a good understanding of what's, what so, there's that. Peace
