Nice job with this one, Bob. I agree with your ideas on moving water, and you put it into practice quite well here. A pretty place.

Thank you JIMP. Some subjects just lend themselves to beautiful photography, and this was one of them.

Thank you Treepusher ..... it is mightily pretty. That being said, one must be careful ..... one of the times I visited, there was a Copperhead snake sunning itself on the rocks. It IS nature after all.

Excellent photo Bob. I like the shutter speed, just about perfect. The foliage on the lower right really adds to the photo. Well done.

Thanks Jim. I think it helped that it was a subdued, overcast day. I didn't have to fight the shadows.

I'm glad it hit a sweet spot with you BigDaddy. And I agree with you, the foliage framed the waterfalls to great advantage.

When photographing waterfalls, I like to go with the midstream approach ..... not silky by invoking long exposure times, nor drops frozen in midair by uses of ultra-high shutterspeeds, but something that suggests a little of each. I am more concerned with capturing an idyllic scene on a spring day that makes one glad to be outdoors. This is one of the places I go to put me in that mood.

I like your thinking. Good shot Bob.

Thank you bcheary. In some respects, it's nice that this is a sparsely visited site ..... I didn't have to wait for the visitors to clear out before I had an unobstructed view.
