Here is something to think about. Look into "refurbished" printers. I picked up two 6 color Artisian 725 printers some years back for under a hundred bucks apiece and am still getting great pictures with them using after market damper refillable cartridges.
The "carts" i have are flip top tops and are refilled without removing them from the printer.
I have never yet had a lemon from Refurbished printers and one friend said they, ( Epson) takes them in and goes through them so they are just as reliable as new printers. Doing that and going with refillable carts makes it a very affordable deal.
