Some people regret abortion, strong women who are sure of themselves and life don't. You don't announce you're pregnant and thinking about abortion unless you want to be talked out of it. You weigh the pros and cons, make your decision and proceed. Abortions apply to the married just as much as the unmarried. And, this should shake you, many, many religious women have gotten abortions, they are the ones most regretting their choice because they have the problem of the bible thumpers telling them it's wrong.
Congrats on your great-grandchild.
I still believe in choice and the freedom of abortion upon request.
Some people regret abortion, strong women who are ... (
show quote)
I see... Strong and sure of themselves women have the absolute perfect life... especially since they have the option, if not the "Requirement in your world" to get rid of that inconvenient little blob of tissue inside of them... How Nice..
I am not surprised at all that "Many Religious" women have aborted their babies,,,, in fact I know a few..... Human foibles do not surprise me at all... It does not mean that it is right in my and many others eyes to murder a child...
In at least 38 states (see below) it is considered murder if someone causes the death of a fetus by a criminal action...ie beating up the woman or shooting the woman and "accidentally" killing the unborn child....
Don't you find it strange that I could be accused of murder if I accidentally killed an Unborn Child while committing a crime upon the mother while she was on the way to killing that child herself...??
Currently, at least 38 states have fetal homicide laws. The states include: Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Nebraska, Nevada, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia and Wisconsin. At least 23 states have fetal homicide laws that apply to the earliest stages of pregnancy ("any state of gestation," "conception," "fertilization" or "post-fertilization");
You didn't bother to answer my question about the Father of the unborn child that the mother wants to kill.... It takes two to get that child started.... why should it not take two to decide to kill it..... Of course only the Female can carry that child to birth,,,but that is just a "mechanical" fact.... Yet when we were having children, my wife could have killed one of my children with out so much as a word to me...
Your last sentence above is one of the greatest indicators of the main difference between a Liberal and a Conservative.... Ignoring the fact that you are completely wrong about the Republican stance on "Born" babies.... your statement..
CHOICE........whose choice? At what point has the father been left out of the choice? At what stage of the pregnancy does the "IT" become a "Living Child"? If it is Choice to Abort a "late Term" pregnancy.... because it is inconvenient to have that child... what is wrong with Killing the Child after birth...it is still inconvenient isn't it.? What has happened to the CHOICE of the participants in creating that child to have CHOSEN to use birth control....?
Freedom of Abortion on Request............... isn't that wonderful... have a fling, get pregnant, present yourself to clinic and get rid of the problem... "NO FUSS NO MUSS" I haven't purchased a Condom since 5/24/1958 (wedding eve) but I don't imagine that they are a great deal more costly.... but lets see if they were $10.00 each and would prevent a (say) $300.00 abortion, wouldn't it make sense that today's MODERN WOMAN would have enough intelligence to do that.....
Do you realize that only hard left Liberals use the term BIBLE THUMPERS with such contempt... The bible is very clear on the subject of MURDER.......
#6 of 10 Commandments.... THOU SHALT NOT KILL.... but...
In biblical Hebrew, as in English, killing (harag) and murder (ratzah) are two different words with two very different moral connotations, and the commandment uses the Hebrew word ratzah, which means that the proper translation of the commandment from Hebrew into English is, "Thou shalt not murder." The difference is crucial.
often the Conservative is denigrated so...."Well, you believe in Capital Punishment but not abortion.....
CAPITAL PUNISHMENT.... penalty, adjudicated by Law for a Crime committed.
MURDER.... The willful taking of a life.
The only way you can get away from that is to consider that an unborn child at any point in the cycle as a NON PERSON.. Only becoming a "Child' when it takes its first breath of atmospheric air.
