Hi Sinatraman and thanks for the clarification. These shots are great and I enjoy the composition, patterns and perspectives. I enjoy taking shots from different angles for a more creative effect and emotional reaction. That's what I was trying for with these shots. What do you think?

Hey NNB, that's a fab shot!! You're making me a fan of Elements, to be sure. As for the Mac, I'd have no other. Had to use an IBM computer at work and said "no more". The learning curve on a Mac is easy. No doubt in my mind you'd do great with one. Anyone who can take such photos can do anything!! I'll be sure to check out GM's site; thanks for the tip and encouragement. In the meantime, here's one I tweaked with iPhoto 9 (Contrast, Saturation, Definition, Sharpness).

Both are excellant. I love the architecture in the first shot and the flower shot from a bug's eye view is smomething we don't see very often. I HIGHLY recomend a book fro amphoto publishing "Learning to see creatively" by Bryan Peterson. It has expanded my horizons a hudred fold on subjects to shoot. Lately I have been exploring subjects at my feet such as potholes, cracked sidewalks and markings on pavement. I know its a little weird but they make great abstracts. Great book for motivating and discovering new subjects. Actually all his books are good "understanding exposure" is another must have.
Thanks for the compliments and the tip on the author. Good input is always appreciated. Yes, there's a whole world of interesting things to shoot all around us. Perspective is a wondrous thing, isn't it? I'm a rock hound and have begun shooting macros of my stones, just for fun.
