New SX50 - first shots

What great start, Rick. Like other SX50 shooters, I have occasionally hit the Video and Self-timer button in error but I have been very impressed with the camera's capabilities. I am afraid that my trusty Nikon D80 is collecting dust while I explore all the possibilities the SX50 offers. Keep shooting and posting.

Thanks to all for the generous comments.
I spend a lot of time on the water and am really looking forward to getting out with this camera. Whales, sharks, sea birds, mola, turtles and others will present a lot of opportunities this summer. I am going to have my hands full with that lens extended while bobbing around on 4 foot chop but it should be fun.
