He won't be back to read this, I suppose, but I did not find the image interesting enough to bother with.
But he has outgrown us - he's off to take more uninteresting images.

Capt. C., you always seem to approach all matters with a level head and a great degree of honesty. As always, so glad that you're here.

That is nice of you to say. Some are not so glad. ;-)

I like what you have to say because it is always honest. Your experience and ability back up your statements. I follow much of what you have to say because I am trying very hard to learn the right methods of good photography. You are more appreciated than you might think.

Oh no...I played with this image because it looked like fun, then read through the whole posting. I thought I'd give it a try anyway. I'm really trying to get back into the swing of things here at UHH.

Very magical. Good job with that sky and rainbow behind those trees!

I didn't find the image interesting at all. Good by and good luck.

OK - let's think about this. Is taking a boring, pedestrian image and just clicking on some plug-in presets really creative?

There is absolutely nothing original or creative here. Yeah, I know you will get your panties in a twist, but think about it.

Every single attempt at this images just proves the "lipstick on a pig" theory.

Well, I did not just click on presets. I adjusted each individual filter to suit then selectively merged the 3 layers to combine for the final image. I think that counts as creativity, yes?

Well....sorta....maybe. The thing is, I look at the original boring image and then what you have done and it is the same boring image with more texture. There is no real value added to the image.

Once again this proves that processing cannot improve an image that has no redeeming qualities in the first place.

"it is clear that I have out grown the current users"

The other interpretations are that you did not offer enough and they (we) just got bored.

OK, 49 views and not a single creative person wanting to take a chance on this image.

Here is something that I put together. A theater poster, with the soon to be released Greatest Hits CD, as a central image.

I am thinking maybe it is time for me to leave UHH. It has been both fun and interesting; however, it is clear that I have out grown the current users.

God Bless and Good Luck to all.
