Camera setting;
#....ISO....Speed....f-stop
1....800....1/1000...f-6.3
2....400....1/500.....f-8
3....400....1/1600...f-11
I would really appreciate your comments and critiques on these photos. Thanks Arnold

Great timing on the reflection of the Yellowlegs. Looks like one legged yellowlegs. The eye is very sharp, what would you need to do to get more definition in the feathers? Would f-8 have worked on # 1? Your work always impresses me so much that I feel a little uncomfortable mentioning that but you're also one of the most sincere on this site so I truly believe you want honest opinions. The butterfly is a beautiful photo. Nice color and sharpness and I like how the foreground and background turned out.

Thanks for your feedback about my photos? I handheld the camera for all 3 photos and the first one was manual focused. The other 2 I used autofocused. Arnold

I think they are very nice, but all three could be a little sharper, were you hand holding your camera? and did you use a manuel focus or auto? I find that my eyes are not as good as they use to be and I have to use Auto a lot to get a sharp focus.

I like'em all and I understand the auto focus situation. I'm at that point in life myself. It's really not fun.

Billy, Thanks very much for comments and critique. It looked like an one legged Yellowlegs to me too. I think what caused the not very sharp Yellowlegs photo was because I handheld the camera, shot it ISO 800, cropped into 23% of the original size of the photo, and had to use a noise reduction on it. I always appreciate honest feedback and critiques on my photos. It helps me to learn and improve my photography and PP skills. Arnold

Heck I learn something every time I look at your website Arnold. Maybe if I photographed more birds I'd realize you can't always use a tripod if you want to catch the best shots.
Arnold, #2 really doesn't ring my bell but it is a good photo. On the other hand, I really like 1 & 3. On #1, I added a very slight bit of contrast and sharpening in photoshop and IMHO it made the photo sharper. The butterfly shot is superb. I always look forward to your photos and these three did not disappoint!
These are all photos that I think are very good.
