I'll try to find a link to his bio, but you can google him to get a feel of just how terrific-a-photographer he was.

Mine, too. Did some stuff with him. I have his portfolio of die-transfer flower prints which are as vibrant and stunning as ever. Jim

None of his photos are on-line though, as his work was all pre-digital.

Star, if your Dad's work was good, you should scan it, and put it online for him!

Over the many years I have admired the work of many of those mentioned.
But as I evolve, I'm more and more influenced by those new photographers that create in the digital era, and lean heavily in PP to add to their signiture.
My present heroes are those that are stretching the edges of the envelope, and blowing the lid off of what is photography today. They include the likes of David Hill, Ella Manor, Erik Almas and many many others!!

I'll go with Ansel Adams who was known for his b/w photography but who also produced some 3000 color transparencies 50 of which are published in a book "Ansel Adams in Color" published in 1993 and edited by Harry Callahan. If you haven't seen it, check it out.
The man truly was a genius with a camera.

The weather channel used to have a weekly program one night of Peter Lik and his travels. I was really impressed with his work and work ethic. I wish they would put the show back on.

If you like confusing you'll love my work! I see you are from Vegas. In Caesars Forum is the shop of a landscape photographer. An Australian. Peter Lik, perhaps? I was impressed with his photography and the way he presents it. Some outstanding work, at least from my point of view.

There are some great ones out there but I will always fall back to Ansel Adams. Not only for his photographs but for his thoughts on events and people out of the photography world.

Ansel Adams does it for me too.

Without doubt, my favorite is Erich Salomon. Much of his work is collected in the book: Portrait of an Age.
