I have to agree with Adams. My current is Mike Corrado. But it could be because I know him and have worked some with him (so I've seen him work).

No matter who I pick I'd question my choice. Certainly Ansel Adams is right there but the first one that popped to mind was A. Aubrey Bodine, a Baltimore Sun photographer that because he is regional many may have missed.

My first favorite was Edward Weston. I like Ansel Adams, but I felt his work was a little cold, and Weston's work had more "soul" for me. My next favorite was Robert Frank. His book "The Americans" influenced lots of photographers throughout he '60s and '70s. Today, I would probably say Lee Friedlander.

I liked Galen Rowell because I could relate to the equipment he used and methods. He was one of the great ones of my life time.

My tastes change over time, but I will always respect the early 20th century photographers Adams, Weston, Steichen, Stieglitz. My current favorite is Rose Mandel.

This is actually a very hard question at this point in my life. I can't choose just one.
I will give you my top 3 in no particular order.
Neil Van Niekerk: Absolute master of bounce flash. Gorgeous images.
Ryan Brenizer: He is more than just the Brenizer method.
Bonnie O'Brien Al-Rifai: Some may argue that she is not a true photographer due to all the composites. Her regular photography is just as beautiful.
I will give you my top 3 in no particular order.
