Thank you for your input. I will have to check Peony poppy and see if that's what it is. I have never seen this flower before but it is interesting.

Damn! I searched Carnations, Peonies and a bunch of other flowers last weekend with no luck. Nice job there!

I searched all those too plus several others including poppies and even though there were similarities I just couldn't find it. Then when I read Oldart's suggestion, there it was!!

If i hadn't gotten the answer, I was going to load the photo onto my iPad, go back to the garden and find someone who could tell me.

I really appreciate your help and the help of everyone else.

I took a photo of a wild flower one year when out scouting for deer season...I might have to post it and ask people if they might know what it is!

Yes. If you download it it's actually quite nice. We were driving along, on a dirt road when I noticed them along the deg of the raod. So I stopped, grabbed my camera and jumped out to get a couple of shots. All the while my buddy giving me guff about it! Are you here to take photos of flowers or look for deer? LOL! I do both!

Lol! You're like me. I stop for turtles crossing roads, and will do the same thing when my camera gets here and I learn to use it! Just be safe and don't get hit! :)
