I never worked with photo shop but my wife has. thank you in advance.

You are talking about three different photos and want to include the person in each photo into one photo. No way in Lightroom unless you find a LR plugin that will do it and if you are asking then you probably have not used LR enough to do that.

There are ways in Photoshop. Do a search for combining photos in Photoshop and something will come up, but if you are not very familiar with Photoshop you may not understand the instructions.

Probably the easiest way in Photoshop is to combine the three photos into a stack of three with the photo you want as background in the bottom layer (probably the girl). Then erase all but grandpa in one of the layers and all but the grandma in the other layer. Then you can move the grandparents around on the photo with the girl and the background until you get what you want. That will work but may not be very eye appealing depending on what the original photos look like and your knowledge about Photoshop. You might post the photos here which would help with suggestions.

In PS instead of erasing all but grandpa I would consider using a mask, easier to tweak it if you change you mind along the way -- IOW, you don't have to start all over!

here are the pics not the best by far. I will post what my wife did with them but if you all can come up with someting diffrent please do. this is just to pass through the screen that the DJ will be looping at the party. so these will not be printed so I am not to worried about pic quality just want to make it look good. thank you for helping me out and for your input. I wante to have them in the same background but my wife said she needs step by step. yes as you can see we are beginers at this.

Hi nimster: This is a very interesting challenge they have posed you. Your photos of the girl are crisp and clear, while the photos of grandma and grandpa are poor quality at best and appear to be just snap shots. I'm guessing neither of them are around to pose with the girl. My question to you then would be how to incorporate their photos in with hers and still make them seem some what natural. I noticed the mirror in the back ground and thought what if they were in the mirror on either side of her reflection looking out and down at her. By cropping them to a head and shoulders you would eliminate some of the back ground, making it easier to mask that area and layer them into the mirror. Just a thought. I know it didn't apply to your question but I'm pretty sure most of the work can be done in photoshop. I have both LR3 and Ellements 10 and like yourself I still finding out what I can do in each. Good luck.

Thank you for your reply. I will try that and see how it looks. good idea. yes it is a challenge. since it is not for printing I nor the client is worry about it. it will be in a slide show. I took the picture of the birthday girl and was supplied the pics of the grand parents. correct they are no longer here.
