You are so right Canadians have no rights to an opinion. Like lets say Ted CRUZ?

Ted Cruz lives in this country and has american citzenship, I also recently read that he renounced his canadian citzenship.

So well as previously posted the canadian poster has every right to their opinion, how much weight should the opinion of a person who does not live in this country and is not affected by our laws have versus the one who lives here and is affected by those laws?

jlefebvre,
When someone refers to the whole human race, they say MANKIND. It's just a term, it does not exclude women.

When you (and many others) chose screen names to hide your true identity, you cannot get offended when someone makes a mistake. You know my name, I'm not hiding from anything. In my life I have always faced the music for my deeds and taken my punishment. I have never taken credit or reward for what someone else did. (or punishment).

What I said about your opinion goes both ways so I'll say again, "Show me an American who tells Canadians how to run their country and I'll tell him the same thing."

dljen:
I do not pull punches, I do not sugar coat things. I'll tell you straight out 'where the bear s?its in the woods'.
If that makes me 'mean' well...I guess I'm mean.

The problem is not guns, knives, baseball bats, bricks or cars they all kill to many. The thing that causes death is that there is not swift punishment for those acts, and the problem being the sick heart of man. I grew up in the 50's and 60's, have never and never will do drugs. Don't need 'um. Kids today have no direction, all they see is violence in media, video games, music, etc., etc., etc. and they do not get the teaching of respect towards others in their home. Life has become cheap. IMHO the left has dumb downed our school system to the point that kids do not even understand what is good or what is bad. All expectations are left at the door. Just my 2-cents worth.

Well lets figure it out. You moved to another country so that must be where you want to be so change things there. I live within 25 miles of Newtown have friends who live in Sandy Hook and that had children in that school. I will tell you the same thing I have told them. Because they had a mentally handicapped child living in their community who should have been institutionalized and wasn't. (and incidentally who's father said he should never have been born) Is no reason for me to be persecuted or punished and give up my rights for a bunch of tree hugging, socialist, robotic, NWO, libtard want to fix the world freaks. Also for your information the wild west is just starting its rebound down here where you incidentally grew up safe and sound. And how many in your personal immediate family have you lost to gun violence ? Which children who's memory you want to use to advance your socialist control agenda did you personally know and spend time with ? Are you just jumping on the band wagon and using the tragedies of others to further your liberal cause? What war have you fought in to earn the rights you want to claim from another country ? None ? It would be my guess you got them by proxy so you place as much value on them as your beloved Obama who never gave up squat for his either but never hesitated to sacrifice someone else's blood or child for the agenda of the party. And since today here in the wild wild west we need kitchen knife control too. Better outlaw cars, hospitals, wars, and peanuts too while you're at it. People die from peanuts to. You know that right ? One last thing. You are paying American income tax, and signing up for Obama care correct ? Or do you just pick and choose what you want to be part of or have a say in ?

  My son who is 36 now, lived in Denver, Co. for about 8 years. When he was about 26 or so he was walking down the street to get a movie when 3 hispanic illegals jumped him cut him up robbed him and almost killed him by beating him in the head with pipes. He spent a week in intensive care. His brain was swelling so they had to drill his skull to relieve the pressure. His neurologist said that in over 30 years of being a doctor he had never seen anyone with so much head trauma survive much less recover. He had cracks in his skull that were 2 inches long that you could put a coin in the length of the crack. Thank God he fully recovered. If he had died, I would have spent the rest of my life finding those thugs. The local cops told him to never walk alone or without a sidearm, and if he was ever in that situation shoot first and call them to clean up the mess. The world is a dangerous place, just make certain of your target!!

We need to register knifes. Anyone who owns a knife should have to register them and undergo training in proper use of them.

Assault knifes should be outlawed no one needs an assault knife.
All knife shows need to be strictly regulated.

If it had been an assault gun, there would have been a heck of a lot more deaths, believe me!! Big difference between a knife and an assault rifle. I would rather have the chance to run from a person with a knife then a person shooting off rounds of bullets!! Yes, the U.S. needs stricter gun laws...it is not the Wild West anymore down there! Hey, just my opinion....

Hey Jo, what if I'm to old to outrun a young thug. I would much rather have a legal sidearm to stop him.
