We are going to feel the effects of the drought that CA has been having. I know there will be a shortage at the grocery stores in fresh fruits and vegetables. Nobody can deny that.

Did the (we should be in charge of the world) UN also tell you how this planet never changes and has been the same for millions of years ? There were never any droughts until now. There was never an ice age. Dinosaurs had to be wiped out by the UN to protect us and our world because when they belched or farted the Methane was just destroying the atmosphere just like the cows are doing now. Oh and the Horses and Deer and Elk and Buffalo and People. Did they then jump on their eco friendly jumbo jets and zoom off to their next speech stop or vacation or their palatial homes to figure out how to best protect all us peasants from our self destructive ways. Or was it off to another war they are running that is non polluting and eco world friendly. Your hallowed UN is nothing more then a bunch of money grubbing power hungry thugs with zero consideration for you, me or this planet. If you die a horrible death tomorrow not one of them will know or care unless they can use your death to further their agenda. And that's the fact Jack.

Sounds like another environmental wacko to me. Head up the ass. Here's one for you:

A woman from Los Angeles, who was a tree hugger, a liberal Democrat, and an anti-hunter, purchased a piece of timberland near Colville, WA. There was a large tree on one of the highest points in the tract. She wanted a good view of the natural splendor of her land so she started to climb the big tree. As she neared the top she encountered a spotted owl that attacked her.

In her haste to escape, the woman slid down the tree to the ground and got many splinters in her crotch. In considerable pain, she hurried to a local ER to see a doctor. She told him she was an environmentalist, a democrat, and an anti-hunter and how she came to get all the splinters.

The doctor listened to her story with great patience and then told her to go wait in the examining room and he would see if he could help her. She sat and waited three hours before the doctor reappeared.

The angry woman demanded, "What took you so long?" He smiled and then told her, "Well, I had to get permits from the Environmental Protection Agency, the Forest Service, and the Bureau of Land Management before I could remove old-growth timber from a "recreational area" so close to a waste treatment facility. I'm sorry, but due to Obama-Care...they turned you down."

I believe that global warming is a fact. that being said I also believe that we have less effect on it than politicians and even scientists tell us. the worlds climate has been changing since the beginning of time and their has been numerous ice ages and warm ups. while we do need to find an alternative to fossil fuels, I don't believe that the change will actually make any long term effect on the climate! my educated opinion! mom nature takes care of her own!!!

And that has what to do with so called global warming/climate change? There have been severe droughts throughout the earth's history. That is nothing new and is just apart of normal weather cycles. Scientists/anthropologists now seem to agree that the primary factor that wiped out the Mayan civilization in Central America was a severe drought. That was approximately one thousand years ago. I guess the Mayans brought that on themselves with all the coal they burned and gas guzzling cars they drove? Droughts, warming, cooling etc are all cyclical.

Instead of trying to reverse the effects of natural warming, we need to concentrate our focus (pun intended in a photo forum)on coping with them.... Any legislation to reduce CO2 levels, et al, are not guaranteed to be effective enough to reverse the supposed human induced trends in a short window. Other than things like stopping the clear cutting of forests, most "remedies" would have very negative effects on the world's economy...
