Stands out from the background beautifully. Well done!

Yesterday I saw this wild young Deer near a lake about 2 miles from where I live. The Deer was about 100-120 feet in distance and shot at 600mm.

Thank you, Dixiegirl for agreeing what I was thinking about the Deer having an almost 3-D effect.
That it does and especially so with the download.

Nice shot Regis!
Long winter; the deer doesn't look to be in very good shape.

Thank you, waykee7. We (North Idaho) had a harsh late Winter causing problems for our Deer in this area. They are hungry and are shedding their winter coats so they look a little bedraggled.
Very nice Regis. So with the tamron 150-600mm can you shoot without a tripod? I am usually too lazy to lug a tripod around. I currently use the canon 100-400mm L series, but often find I need a bit more.

Thank you, Tracey. I haven't used a tripod or monopod in more than 5 years. I just like the freedom of getting that quick elusive shot of a bird or other wildlife that I might miss if I had my camera and lens set up on a tripod and I hate to lug a tripod around. To each his own. The Tamron 150-600mm weighs 4.3 lbs. so it's a little heavy but it has a good balance and once you get use to the lens it won't seem that heavy. Every other 600mm lens weighs two to five times more and unless your a superman, you will have to mount it on a tripod plus you will pay more than $10,000.
The Sigma 150-500mm and the Sigma 50-500mm lenses weigh about the same as the Tamron.
