When in doubt, shoot close and go for bokeh! :-)

It's all good now. Did a quick clean and it is spot less! It is so funny how they just show up. I changed one lens yesturday after shooting a few pictures. They all turned out great. So it was just that one change and they jumped in.

Not that anyone is gonna be interested but there's a mini clean room available that has an hepa filter on an intake fan and and exhaust fan built in with other dust preventing features. You can google it. For out in the field, you could use a power inverter in your car to run the 110v and use your car as a changing room. An overkill? Not if it saves 10 hours of video work. I'll probably have one soon for Spring. Not too expensive. Where I live is very dry and not only is dust a big issue but so is static electricity which is a magnet to the dust already flying around. It's treacherous here for sensors. It was really bad too, with film. A real problem. There were pro labs everywhere dealing with all the airbrushing out of the spots on film - a big industry.

Yep, you've got many of the same issues except the static electricity isn't quite as bad there. Denver is the "inland" lightning capitol of the country and static is really bad here compounded by the semi-arid conditions, almost as dry as Tucson.

Picture of my new baby ... Manfroto 394 tripod ... can't wait to go use it .... the legs can be set in 2 positions and 3 heights ... the head can be flipped upside down for shooting directly over something ... it's light weight and low profile .... I love it. The heathens better not get anywhere near this one lol. Oh and the head rotates 360 degrees. Plus can be set at different angles.

Nice! You should enjoy it and it should make your pictures at least twice as good so we'll be watching. LOL! You can't expect new and improved equipment with no expectation of improved productivity. Progress and all of that rot, you know!!

You can try blowing it out with a squeeze bulb. If that doesn't work you can clean it yourself with supplies from visible dust. If you're not comfortable doing it then bring it in to a camera repair, but it doesn't look like lens dust at all.

Process of elimination I guess .. first I'll clean the glass .. try it ... clean the sensor .. try again .. if no good take it in for servicing .... bound to need it since I haven't taken it in before and I've had it nearly 5 years I think.
Just couldn't bring myself to drop it off anywhere

I've had these spots....Pro friend of mine saw them n said theyre on the front of the lens if they look diffuse like yours...sharper spots ... look to the back of the lens for the problem. Love cloning!

I think your friend was wrong. Go back and look at the post I have a link in. I also posted a picture with the dust I got on my lens from changing lenses the other night. I clean the sensor last night and all of my pictures are fine. If you look at the link I posted you will be surprised at what they say. Take a look at my cloud picture too. That is what dust looks like on a sensor. I always clean my own sensor, saves me money and I can keep shooting. It is not hard to do, but if you have to wet clean them you have to be careful.

You have to click on the picture to enlarge it to see the spots. Hope this helps.

The trick is to change lens and shoot a test on f22/f16 and if the spots are in the same spot, end of confusion! Just do it.

Your welcome. There is a lot of talk out there about this. If you look up how to clean your sensor and learn to do it. You can save your self a little money. It is hard not to get dust on it if you are changing lenses in the field. Most times it just takes a sensor brush and you are good to go. Other times you have to do a wet clean for the hard to get. Looking into getting a cleaning kit. Just be careful if you have to wet clean. To much of the fluid can hurt the sensor too.
