This is the second installment of my session with my favorite hawk. Since there were just the two of us neither one was disturbed in our quests. His was to eat and mine was to photograph. We were very close to one another and both of us were OK with that. In the first two images you'll see him in the air, the middle two are of him with his kill and the last two are close ups of his head only. To get that look I had to lay on the ground to be at his level. Though my decent to the snow was none too graceful, he never objected and never lost focus on what he was doing. I hope you enjoy these half as much as I did in taking them.
Thanks for looking in and remember, this is a wild hawk and not a captive.
Side note: Since they are quick downloads, I strongly urge you to look at the close ups in that format. You might like the detail.

Hi Joe,
Great series! Got to ask, what were you wearing, camo or white to blend in with the snow? The detail is tack sharp!

Fantastic shots - particularly love the downloaded version of the first photo, the detail is amazing - it must have been a wonderful experience (for both of you).

You've got some rarities there, Joe! The clarity is impeccable... especially on the last two.
