Nice shots of the Eagle. One of my favorite species. In the second shot on top of the concrete pillar, where was your focus point? The concrete is real clear, but the Eagles feathers look a little out of focus. Again, good job.

I just viewed your other pics from the link.....I can't believe it - I have a "poop" shot myself..... Giggle. I captured mine by shear luck, I thought it was getting ready to take off & I was hoping to capture it flying away ;) how did you capture yours? Was it a fluke too or do you know their behavior so well, you knew what it was getting ready to do?

At a local nest, I've heard comments about the juveniles may go after eating. I did catch one turn around on the edge of the nest, bend over and go for distance.......

Not a criticism but is it my eyes today or are these just a bit softer than your normal photos?

Odiebones, Thanks for your comments. The reason the the Eagle's feather are out of focus is because I was using a 2X Teleconverter to take this image. Arnold

Jay, Yes, I have observed that behavior of the juveniles and have photos of it too. Arnold

Photogrl57, Yes, the first 2 photos are softer because I'm using a 2X Teleconverter to capture these images. Arnold

I noticed that difference in mine too with the 2X attached ... I would still have to say that the photos on the bottom of your list are way higher on the scale of perfection that my best ones... Keep up the awesome shooting

Photogrl57, Thanks for your compliments about my photos. I find that that using a tripod is must. I used a wired shutter release, and when possible I use mirror lock to keep any vibration to a minimum. I also try to stop down my aperture to f-8 when possible, and that also helps the sharpness of my photos. Arnold
