aaagh. reminds me of work, lol
Lighting and technique is great, but for my personal taste it might look better if the objects were either fewer, or more artfully organized. It could be a very nice photo with a little re-arranging of the tools.
Both your tools and your tool-drawer are cleaner than mine.

I agree with Heirloom. Well done photo, but tools could be better arranged. I like the idea, though.
OK, let's get this straight ..... one does not "arrange" tools in a tool drawer. If you want them straight, they are usually hung in a tool rack.

Certainly, but I think the photo would look better with a little still-life preparation. Maybe likes near like... It doesn't have to be precise.

Unfortunately it has the organization of my workbench! But I like the photo! The lighting and the contrast in B&W is nicely done.

Ah, preparation-schmeperation! A drawer of tools doesn't get prepared. It gets rifled through, it gets tossed into, it gets messy, it gets used. This is a great image! It's sharp, interesting, and filled with diagonal lines that pull the eye into and through the scene.
Preparation.... Give me a break. How about some doilies...

I love tone-mapping images such as this. If you have Photomatix or any other software that can tone-map give it a try. I like the photo.
Oh yeah! I'll have to dig out some tools and snap away. Are these digital?
I may try film -- probably ISO 50.
I really like your work Lensman. I've attached one I posted some time ago of a similar subject. I was going to PM this to you but couldn't figure how to attach files to a PM.

Ours are in a pile on the workbench and look unloved and somewhat rusted. Nice photo BTW.
