I think you did a wonderful job in telling the story!! I did however crop your pic and edit the lighting to show you how you could have improved your shot by taking away some of the things that should have been excluded to bring focus to your subject(s).

Let me put you at ease. There is no reason not to post. We are all here in the same boat. Some might be on the upper deck because they have more experience. But, don't worry about that, they'll be the first to lend a hand. Post away. With regard to your post here, you said what you were doing and I believe that was what we were viewing; a story versus any technical aspects. Of course, just an opinion. Enjoy!

I have been looking at forums for two years on photography and I thought that most people were just crabby to most others. Here I find that not to be true at all. I love this forum. I have poured every picture (mostly bed and breakfast) and forums I could find and finally bought my camera last week. My daughters really got tired of my over thinking iit and said just do it mom. So here I am.

I am sorry I am repeating myself but I want to be able to take awesome pictures of my bed and breakfast then my friends bed and breakfasts. That is my true passion.

I will post here where I feel safe. I want honesty so I am not asking for people to be soft on my photos. I feel that I will learn from all of you. Thank you all.

presentation has such a big role in creating subject interest. a great photograph fails with a poor presentation...

Awesome! These are good clean well lit, well exposed, well focused snapshots. Nothing wrong with that. Good job! :)

Ideas for more pictures - in #1, keep snapping until he grabs an apple & tries to pick it ! Digital images are cheap ! Getting closer is good advice. For #2 - if he was looking down into the basket, to see where to put the apple? Yeah ! One thing that's neat - fill the boy's laps with apples in the wagon - implies a bumper crop ! Thanks for the story - can you get it all in one pic ? THAT would be a great composition !!!

blueeyes-I think you did a magnificent job of adding brightness and clarity to an already wonderful photo. I would like to know the process you used to do this. Thanks!

I love the second photo. Too bad the basket had plastic inside of it. The plastic is a little distracting. Otherwise a really cute shot.
