I was fishing last weekend, and just as I was unloading the boat, I saw this beautiful "Nomad". At least I think it's a Nomad and not a hearse... lol
Anyway, I played with the colors a little especially with the sky as it washed out on me.
Any suggestions? And please play with and resubmit how you would have done this beauty yourselves. I am curious to see how it will look through other's eyes.
I have this one as a close up
This one with some landscape
This one was before doctoring it.

Thanks Sinatraman, long time no hear from.
I would have got a closer shot but I was at the loading dock and saw that truck over the hill. I had to zoom in on it to get those shots, and I didn't want to go up to the guy and paparazzi his truck. It was a get it quick and get off the dock type of thing.

LOL, yeah they went from the "my 1st grade child designed this boxy car" look that dominated the 80's and some of the 90's to the jelly bean as you say. There are some real hideous offerings now too... Nissan Cube, The Renault, Scion, especially the first XB I think it was. A super boxy van that looked like a bread box to me, I think they call them a "toaster"? Sorry, but I am not into the geek style. Just an ordinary country boy... lol

There is a company that makes an add on for the boxy xb of two very large pieces of done toast, so you really can drive the toastmobile. and whats with these made up names and boring numbers, I like classic names for classic cars, mustang charger eldorado, elcamino, torino, even the chrysler cordoba with rich corintian leater. (thank you ricardo mountenbaum greatest accent in hollywood. :!:

I know, I like the retro muscle cars we brought back, but the charger is NOT supposed to have 4 doors... (I know, I'm a purist.) If they would have called the car a Coronet, and I would have loved it, and made a 2 door calling it a charger. I'm glad Mustang and Camaro isn't wimping out with 4 doors. After '73, the charger never was the same again. It became a name only. I loved the 69 Charger, (The General Lee), and the 69 Daytona, like the Super Bird that was on here last week, only instead of a Road Runner with those mods, it was a Charger.

Love those Nomads, but yes, that is not one. Also understand your dilemma about the shot. Here is a shot of a Nomad I took on 6-20-2011. I spotted it from a distance and had to go look.

Man I am drooling all over myself. I recognize the Nomad during the shoebox years, I just thought the truck I shot was an earlier one before the shoe boxes... (55-57 Chevy Bel Airs) I loved those cars then. They just looked like "cool Americana personified"! The muscle cars of the 60s and early 70s were my favorites too.
These staton wagon with out side window were called
sedan deliverys" I tail ligh on that one look like 1954.

Yeah, one of the guys told me it was considered a panel van before they snubbed the noses on them. If I am learning little about how to improve the pic, I sure am getting some fun facts on the vehicle itself... lol
As a mechanic, I can appreciate fun facts on old cars which I happen to love.
It is a 54. The 53 only had one goose neck tail light located near the center on the driver side cargo door .
