I've been away a bit, and was just poking around to see what's been going on and ran across this somewhat dated post. Can't resist sharing a few thoughts.

This makes a very good point, but is not quite on target, I think. It is not that one is considered phobic or hateful for disapproving ANY behavior, but for disapproving behavior blessed by the culture. It is, for example, politically quite correct and acceptable to heap opprobrium on pedophiles. I don't think pedophilia is healthy either, but the vitriol directed at them by our secular culture is downright hypocritical.

I also think there is a sense in which the label "homophobe" is correct. I believe that the advancement of the gay agenda has and will cause great harm, and it is only sensible to fear the damage done by it.

Your lack of certainty in this matter is not just sad, it is cruel. One who "...honestly expresses their bigotry" is reprehensibly proud of a demonstrably hurtful character flaw...and no one is " hiding behind political correctness" ; he is following in the path of the Nazarene carpenter who implored us merely to love and respect one another, and to treat others as we would wish to be treated. It's really not so hard. Don't over-think it...just do it.
