First, thank you. I have enjoyed perusing. Just retired from 40 years in U.S. Postal Service, and 24 years of homeschooling seven great kids. Finally have some time for photography, again.
Started while in Navy, stationed in Europe with a Minolta SRT-101, graduated to a Minolta XE-7 (which I still have & use occasionally). Got a couple thousand slides from that experience that I'm slowly converting to digital files.
Just bought a Sony a77 with a 16-50 zoom & 75-300 zoom. Hope that holds me for a while.
Did some B & W in the darkroom, but that was 20 years ago. Just starting to learn about digital. I bought Lightroom 5 but haven't even installed it yet.
Looking forward to getting advice.
Old Picture, but looks like this today.
Welcome. I'm new to UH as well. Nice place to be able to share pictures and get feedback. I've enjoyed getting some honest input, rather than just the family feedback :-) Looking forward to seeing more pictures. This first one is a very nice scene.

Hello and welcome to UHH and retirement. I too retired from the US Postal Service and owned an SRT-101 while I was in the military, which I purchased at the Base Exchange. I still have the SRT-101 and my youngest daughter used it a several years ago when she took an elective photography class in college.
