Ah yeah.... Yosemite Village-- not Curry Village. I lived in the employee housing near Curry Village. Last time I was there, I didn't recognize the place....

One on Atlantic Avenue, and another near the traffic circle.

Most appropriate I'd say.
I went to St. Barnabas my first 5 years of schooling, then to Longfellow and Hughes, then Jordan.
What part of LB are you in?

You must be referring to the "Train wreck".
The Mariposa grove is being completely redone. Removing the parking lot then putting in a much larger one by the south entrance where you will be bussed to the grove. They are also removing the trams. Yep, if you want to see the grove now. Put on your walking shoes, the powers that be have decided to remove them as soon as next year. Those trams brought in around 8 million bucks a year. The gift shop is also history. Oh well, what do I know, I just drove those trams for nine great seasons.

I worked in Curry Village in a food place called "Degnan's Fast Foods. Pizza, fast-food, etc.... It was near the Ansel Adam's Gallery. I doubt it's there anymore.
As far as I know, it's still there. In fact I ate there in May of 2012.

Nikonian72, do you ever eat at Le Yens Chinese restaurant on Atlantic and Cartagena? (One block north of Carson.) they have the best Chinese food I've ever had. When I was a driver at McDonnell Douglas, several of us drivers would meet there for lunch every Tuesday, I've seen up to 12 of our vans parked up and down Cartagena. If you're ever there and Kenny's your waiter, please tell him big John says hi.

Thanks, I haven't seen him in about 15 years, but I know he's still there, his folks own the place. Like I said earlier, they have the best Chinese food I've EVER had. My family has been eating there for many years.

Yes, I just made it easier for him to find it. I think anyone interested in macro should read it. I had pretty much given up on high mag stuff until I read his tips, it inspired me to take another stab at it. I have always been grateful to him for taking the time to write it and share his knowledge, I try to always encourage others to read it.
