I need cruise photo blog help.
As has been stated by others, it is best to not post until you get home for safety reasons. If you do, keep it on a private blog, accessible only to your children & maybe close friends who already know you are gone.
Internet is pricy(about $1.00 per minute) & slow onboard most ships so it is best to find a place on shore, although, who wants to spend their time ashore on the internet when you came there to see the place?
I find it helps to save the daily itinerary most ships give you & also info you pick up, it helps to remember where you were & you can makes notes when you organize the photos later. Be sure to set the time/date on your camera so it will be easy to organize.
No offence, but the last thing I'd want to worry about on a cruise would be staying connected to the rest of the world.

Besides, the charge for internet services on Cruise ships is $$$$.Cruises don't profit from the initial ticket sale, but from any extras they can sell you aboard the ship. There are lots- from drink and coffee cards to internet service, not to mention land excursions booked via the cruise line. The bargain souvenir tee shirt sale usually starts the first day out!

Thank you. This will be our 21st cruise, so we get some perks, including WiFi. The shore suggestion is, however a good one for sure. I would rather update continuously so I don't forget. I have a good memory, but it tends to be short at times!
You can write it daily, and then post the whole story when you're back.
But if you decide to post daily (since you've got free WiFi), I would make it different posts. Otherwise, there's no point to using a blog, you're just updating a single shared document.
I guess I am a litte confused...why worry about blogging...send an email with a daily update...put the whole presentation together when you get home...you can easily set up an address book of those you want to contact...
