I just left COSTCO with a copy of Photoshop Elements 12 @ $49.99.

You can't beat that price.

Yes I saw that.I had purchased this for $99 for my daughter-in-law as a Christmas gift at Walmart.I took it back & my daughter will pick up a copy for me as I am not a member there.Quite the savings!

I just looked this up on line at Costco.com. The box and the ad say "Special Costco Edition". Wonder what that means?

The price is good to 12/1/13 with free shipping. Or you can probably go to the store and get it but I doubt they will reimburse you for your gas and time.

I just purchased this on line without a membership but had to pay $4.00 extra for being a non-member.Sure beats $106.49 from WalMart.

Hi Marilyng,

Glad that you went back to Walmart for a return and then bought a copy of PSE 12 at the lower price from competitor. Looks like quite a savings. Didn't Walmart want to refund the difference - like a store credit? If not, their loss. Happy for you.

I didn't ask,I just told them that the person I purchased it for already had it so they credited my debt card. A little white lie sometimes doesn't hurt!!!

The "Special Costco Edition" is a version created by Adobe specially for Costco. It lists Costco in the options to upload for printing. In the regular version of Photoshop Elements Costco is not included in these options.

Just clicked the buy button, free shipping four bucks non-member, sales tax

60 dollars and a little change. Not bad at all. I have PSE 7 now and have been debating between PSE &LR. Told my wife to tell the the rest of the family now I need PSE12 for Dummies.

thanks for the head up

Good for you. No need to wait for PSE 12 for Dummies. Here is some FREE help.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=giIU82smKMg (for PSE 11 but works the same in PSE 12).
http://www.photoshopelementsuser.com/learningcenter/
http://tv.adobe.com/show/photoshop-elements-12-feature-tour/
http://helpx.adobe.com/pdf/elements-organizer_reference.pdf
http://helpx.adobe.com/en/pdf/photoshop-elements_reference.pdf

As you are coming from PSE 7 you will be in for a BIG surprise. Beginning with PSE 8 Adobe removed the 3D Transform filter. Beginning with PSE 12 Adobe removed the Magic Extractor, the Lighting Effects filter, and Color Variations. With the exception of the Magic Extractor, all can be placed back in PSE 12. I recommend you keep PSE 7 installed for at least a while, especially if you want to put these features back in PSE 12. Each version of Elements is an independent one. So, you can have both PSE 7 and PSE 12 running on the same computer. And here is something new. Beginning with PSE 11 you can now open two versions at the same time. The trick is to open the older version first and then open either PSE11 or, in your case, PSE 12.

And last but not least:

You don't have to install third-party actions (.atn files) and Layer styles (.asl files) in PSE 12 as you had to do in PSE 7. Now all you do is load these files into the Editor whenever you need to use them. A piece of cake!!!

PSE 12 comes with a built-in layer mask (which was first introduced in PSE 9).

You get 50 4x6 prints for free. You can get a canvas print that it is 18x24 or larger for a discount of $10.
Also, there is a link to Costco for printing within the software so you can send your photos to Costco.

Just bought it from Amazon for more money.
