If this is the wrong place to post this question, please feel free to delete it.

I shoot mostly digital but I also have a Canon Rebel G 35mm camera that I love. For those that shoot film, is there a place you can recommend for developing? I refuse to take mine to WallyWorld. I hate that place LOL

So you have a camera store in town? How about a Walgreens? If not, Google, "mail-in 35mm film processing"; adding your city, state, zip code or region of the country may narrow down your search. One such location is:

They even have an option for posting scans on-line; they are located in Youngstown, OH.

I live in a very rural area. There are no camera shops of any kind within a 2 1/2 hour drive. I did a google search and found a place in Oklahoma, was just hoping someone had personal experience with a company.

I have an X girlfriend that works at a CVS store in the photo both that's kind of personal.
But when it's time to have a slide transferred to a digital copy or print nothing like the personal attention given by O'l Nancy at the Wally World photo lab, wherever that is.
They have to be sent to her. :-)

OOPS! Guess ACILAB.com doesn't do film developing anymore.

Haven't tried them, but looks like maybe a good place to get film developed, plus digital files from them.

Thanks anyway. Seems they are getting harder and harder to find. Almost makes more sense to build your own darkroom and learn to develop photos

Welcome SimmonsCreek. Do you remember / did you use mail order film processing? In college with no car, this was the way to go for me. When I came back to film this year, I was surprised it still runs much the same now 30-years later. I've been using TheDarkRoom.com where you can download the paperwork including a prepaid mailing label. (I see mentioned above too.) They send back the negatives along with the scans on a CD.

There are other places as well. A UHH member posted a spreadsheet at the link below of several places: http://www.uglyhedgehog.com/t-149625-1.html

I'd go with "The Photo Place" or "The Dark Room." Mail is easy.

Welcome SimmonsCreek. Do you remember / did you us... (show quote)

That link has an XLSX file which needs a compatibility pack for those using prior to Office 2007. I converted to the older XLS format here.
