I love both pictures. You did very well. If I could offer one suggestion; I would like to have seen more of the bottom half of the photo for number 2. Great job.

Thank you Kindly...I think your right and will keep this in mind. Live performances are a challenge...I like to constantly shoot during the performance using various zooms and various settings in search of the WOW shot. Sometimes you get one...sometimes not.

LOL Oh I wouldn't go that far, James. This one doesn't look like a man to me and is pretty, so it gets my vote. First one looks like she'd been out in the sun too long. :-D

You know...I don't know what it was about this lady Dixiegirl. Shots of her were always off color for some reason. The others on stage with her didn't have that dark tan look that I kept getting with her. It was just weird...But she is a lovely lady, I'm a bit disappointed I couldn't do better.

Nice job, James. That first shot isn't very flattering, but I love it regardless. Concentration, ability, and a perfect pose, all caught very well.

Folks, I previously posted a photo of a male guitar player (Rex Thomas). Well today, I had the chance to photograph a female one. Heck, I don't care what sex they are...I just like taking photos of musicians. This is Sally Quick from the singing trio "The Quicks". The post processing is a desaturated grunge look I sort of like on close ups like this. Besides, the lighting was so awful this is my attempt to salvage the shot.

This look tells the story of her longevity and emotion for her work.
