Nice shot ! - I have heard of this but never seen it .....yet ! A bit off topic, but curious if you shoot raw ? Thanks ...
Thanks. It was crazy out there today! Ospreys were out fishing and soon after catching a fish an eagle would come jetting out of nowhere to jump the osprey.
Believe it or not I just shoot jpegs. I feature images that have more of a wildlife taken from a photojournalist approach if that makes sense. I try to feature action and a unique perspective rather then trying to create little pieces of art work.
I have had other photographers look at me in horror like I just confessed to being the original kidnapper of the Lindbergh baby when I disclose that I only shoot jpegs, but there it is. :-)

Bald Eagle from this afternoon.
You can't really see it well, but he actually has a small fish tucked tight under his tail. The eagle had just stolen the fish from an osprey that plucked it out of the marsh pond.
Nice shot.

Our local eagles are quite lazy as well, I can't believe how they can just stand around in a tree for hours doing nothing when there are fish jumping all over in the marsh.
I guess it's easier to let the osprey do the work for you. :?
Thanks for looking and commenting!
All Eagles are lazy. I hate to say it but they are food stealing, carrion eating laggards that have an undeserved reputation. This is the reason that Benjamin Franklin wanted the Turkey to be our national symbol.
Love the look of intensity in the face. The download is beautiful.
