The big out of focus glob in the middle bottom kills any chance of of my eyes even reaching the fence

Hi Brent. The OOF blob really bothers me too and I don't know how to get rid of it. While I usually like the texture you are using here, it didn't seem to go far enough in this one. I am submitting a version that adds little black lines for more emphasis. I tried brightening the colors but that made it look cheesy, so I quickly abandoned that idea. Anyway, here's another version to look at. Maybe you could add something on top from another photo to kill the blob.

 OKAY! I HONESTLY HATE IT! NO, seriously I like it, as in I lingered (!) so it must have possibilities (!) but the first thing in my pointy head is "no clear center of interest." I love the color, and I reaaaallly love the texture—cool!—but my eye keeps wondering where to light. Not sure what to do about it. If I had made it I would like it but I would keep wondering quite why? :|

The fact that the posts don't all share the same color tone, detail and height is what makes the photo interesting. A play between repetition and variation.

blob, noise, possibly taken from the wrong place. (it ain't running anywhere so you could walk around and get a better composition)
repetition and variation BUT...you lost it in the right half.

Go do it again....less ISO, more ISO, play with aperture, try different white balances, try monochrome/sepia. get a feel and then show what you feel. then pp and see what takes your fancy. THEN post....

Not too shabby, Bob. You are a pretty good ghost buster, er, I mean blurred blob remover.

The only one that still looks out of place is the center, orangish looking background. It's still off at the base.

Thanks Heirloom Tomato....I think Bob did it justice with his tampering of the blob.

Thanks rook for your insightful perceptions on this image. You have quite a vison for detail and it shows!
