I personally do not believe it has the impact in monochrome as it does in color. I did try many settings to get the tones to pop. However, because of the fog blending the tones through out the background to me it looks muddy and very flat.

Thanks for posting the monochrome image, Bushido. You are right, it's best in color by far.

Oh see, I love it in monochrome too. I think it's beautiful.

The only thing I would personally have done with a scene to add more drama would have been a 10-14stop ND for some nice water and sky effects. You dont need it here, its just a bit of something I would have done. As it stands the Image is pretty strong in its current state.

I like it in color more so than in b/w.

For me the point of interest is the poles in the water. I don't think the photo needs anything else in it.
