Thank you Esther. I just tried it and it worked. I did a two picture top, bottom "interactive layout".

My only caveat with PSE 11 is at this time it does not open Canon raw (CR2) files from the new Canon 70D. I can't speak to any other camera raw files. I'm hoping this will be resolved soon. I really don't want to go to PE 12 since I've hardly gotten used to 11.

Bad news, I'm afraid.
PSE ships with ACR (Adobe Camera Raw) version 7.1
It is compatible with ACR up to version 8.0
Your camera however, needs ACR version 8.2
Now that PSE12 is out, I doubt very much that Adobe will be updating PSE11, which means that for the combination PSE11/Canon 70D the issue will not be resolved.

I wish I could say that I am surprised by that, but I'm really not.
Thanks EstherP.

And here is some good news. You can manually install ACR 8.2 in PSE11. It will work without any problems.

1. Download the ACR 8.2 file.

http://swupdl.adobe.com/updates/oobe/aam20/win/PhotoshopCameraRaw7-7.0/8.2.67/setup.zip

2. Follow the instructions in this thread.

http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1266134

The only thing to keep in mind is that these instructions are for the manual installation of ACR 8.1. This means that in ACR 8.2 the name of the file you need to double-click on in Step #3 will be a different one. The file will be named AdobeCameraRaw7.0All-110913154242

Eureka!!! It works. A little tedious, but it does the trick. Thank you bunches. To bad Adobe can't simply do right by their users and providing a direct update rather than trying to force an unwanted upgrade on them.
