My parents were married over fifty years and never once did either of those things happen in our family, so maybe those WERE the Good Ol' Days.

You think these things don't happen today in our "enlightened Progressive" society? I would guess as much, if not more, than ever!

Much more I would say. There isn't a day that goes by without a news report on someone beaten or killed. And seems like almost everyday we here of fatalities from drunk drivers....and some get off with just a "slap on the wrist".

Ah, yes. The Good Old Days! When you could beat your kids and wife and it was no one's business except yours. When you could drive drunk and kill a few and it was chalked off to "Boys will be boys! Ah, yes, the Good Old Days.

What do you mean the "good old days" ?

It's a real city problem, Detroit, Chicago, Camden, L.A.
NYC etc., yup sure is!

And who runs the cities and doesn't care?

Yup your right, The FAUX intellectuals.

Too busy minding everyone else's business.

I'll bet you feel real safe in your cities.

I grew up on a farm in East Tennessee and lived about a mile from school. My Grandfather would tell me, "Put the plow on the tractor and tomorrow after school stop at John's house and plow his garden. He will give you $2.00".
And I would, and the next day do the disc thing. I would most times not be the only tractor parked at school during the day.
Today, I would have to schedule through smart phone, have a credit card reader with me, and hope Pa had enough $$$ to bail me out when I was arrested for who knows what outrageous law I might have broken.
It be sad times, eh???
I grew up on a farm in East Tennessee and lived ab... (show quote)

Today you'd get a ticket because one of your wheels on the tractor touched the line that shows the parking space, Next time you'll have to bring your Lexus like the rest of the kids.
