here are my first attempts at portrait work. they were done with continuous tungton lights.
any critique welcome good or bad.
Great shots. You really captured the warmth and beauty of your subject. Very well done.
Nicely done...is there anyway to place the bottom inset behind the middle one to avoid cutting into her chin or maybe swap photos?

Hi Norman. Great shots. I am not sure the layout you have in the first one works tho. You have them over lapping into the next picture to much. And some are covering her. Very nice work tho!!!

Love the second pic, IMHO i'm not a lover of combining lots of photos when each photo is worthy of being shown on their own right and merit
Hope that makes sense...

First attempt at people photography!!! You have a gift - can't wait to see your 50th! When I look at the third photo, why, I feel like I can hear her voice and that I have known her for years. This is what portrait photography, done right, is all about.
Beautiful photos of a truly beautiful "senior" !!
You have a great rapport with your model, she is interesting and very "camera friendly". The bright white of the chair when in the background is distracting. Care in the background is a mark of the professional portrait photographers and is critical which is why many use custom backgrounds. If taking outside, etc, be careful with the background, such as the old one of telephone poles growing out of heads. That is my only nit and for first tries your work is outstanding.
