I really like it; looks like something out of a history book and you've picked the perfect subject. Is it a tin mine?

Hi Paul Glad you like it and yes it is a tin mine stack. If you are interested in them I can post some as we have loads in Cornwall. This one is by the cliff edge as some mines went out underground into the sea.

I was so impressed with what rlaugh had done with his pictures to age them so I tried it out on a picture that is from a field trip with my camera club. I am waiting to see what comment I get on Wed evening. I think it is great to see what folk come up with and to try it yourself.

Nicely done.

Yes please, I'd like to see some. I remember seeing quite a few when I visited there some years back - bit ghostly and eerie, especially at dawn or dusk. Cheers nanaval.

Hi Erv, how are you? I recognized them from when I visited there, they seem to be all over the place - ruins of them, that is. I think the design has something to do with the depth they went and consequent problems of flooding. They typically had a wheel-house (box shaped building) and a tower. Cheers, Paul
