Eric Holder is the ultimate definition of incompetence, and pandering of his liberal hyperbole, as well as nothing more than an obama lackey!

As Steven Wright has observed;

99% of lawyers give the rest a bad name!

I will even be the first to reply and comment..

Yes I have a photo ID, and have had one since I was 16yrs old..(58 years) I show it each time I vote.

I do not understand the need or want of Early Voting....I suppose that if you live in a town like Chicago with so many people, it might be of use....

When did it become a burden on people to have an ID Card.. They can get them for free and I would have to suppose that some 65% or So of eligible voters have a drivers license. I just googled the Federal Highway Administration and in 2000 there were almost 200 million drivers licenses held by USA drivers...

And lastly............How does the requirement to have a ID card keep minority voters from voting.......

The burden is on low income people. A good percentage of low income citizens simply do not have a "proper" ID, as the acquisition of an ID card cost money. Early voting is another issue that concerns people of low income. This may be unfamiliar to you, but the fact is that often low paying jobs do not let you to take time off without losing pay for that time off - even if you simply want to get out to cast a vote. A loss in wages can be a real financial burden to those who are struggling to make ends meet.

Ideally, the act of voting should not result in a financial burden to anyone and thereby be fully inclusive regardless of one's financial situation, not exclusive. However, some politicians fear low income voters (perhaps for good reason!), and prefer to implement hurdles to those potential voters, such as a silly ID card requirements or the discontinuation of early voting.

Well, if I understand it correctly,,,, the Government will issue the proper ID card for Free....

They could be picked up on the way to or from purchashing their Lottery Tickets, Or Cigarettes or Beer/ripple/whiskey...

I have lived in an area where the income was universally low and it always seemed that everyone could take care of the above needs in their life...

If you actually believe that the Liberal side are against the law because of the hardship on those that need an ID card... well, what can I say...... OUR wonderful Justice Department could not prosecute the "Black ????" what ever they are called for ACTUAL voter intimidation, but can sure jump on this band wagon..

Why isn't it discrimination to be required to show a photo ID to attend an Obama campaign rally or to visit the White House?

This is utter B.S.! Every place that has voter ID also has ways to get free ID cards, polls are open nights and weekends and in many areas people can vote by mail, totally free of charge. The only reason anyone would not support Voter ID is because they want to cheat and steal elections, plain and simple. If folks don't have an ID, explain how they get food stamps, public housing, health clinic care, buy liquor and beer, buy certain over the counter and prescription drugs, get access to adult movies, drive a car, etc., etc. They all have ID....when they want to!

Who are REALLY the people complaining about the ID law. Is it really the low income people? I used to own a "low income" apartment house in a VERY rural part of Arizona. Most of my tenants were also my friends. They were also clean, responsible, and when they could, they were hard working. Most were on some sort of subsidy, and had been issued an ID card by the agency to get that subsidy. The "slackers" who were totally dependent on the government, had several forms of ID. HOWEVER, none of these people voted. They just weren't interested!
I think the people who protest too much are the "Community organizers", and others of their ilk!

Try to board an airliner or cash a check without a picture ID.
Requiring an ID is a common practice anymore, so why is there so much controversy over identifying oneself to prove they can legally vote in this country?

People who operate at a level where an ID is not necessary to live-- vote for a particular party. They will have all the documentation for other programs... Too much documentation on a manipulative aspect of elections is also not in the best interest of a single party.

Follow the money and you will be enlightened.

Having an ID makes it much more difficult to give a false name and address when stopped by the Cops.

So your true colors show! You think only African Americans are in need of voter ID cards!

Bit of a racist view of things. \

In fact, many whites in Apalachia, the inner city and the deep south also need ID cards but cannot afford to get them or have no means to get to where they are given!
