The huge chains are very insidiuos how they continue to monopolize our world. There is a fruit and vegetable store here called Murphys. We recently found out it is owned by Wal-Mart. We were $#$^&(*NO)$$@##^*&^$$!

We are very fortunate in having Rowe's Photo in our area and they have a very knowledgeable staff. I always go there for my supplies. I bought my Nikkor F1.8 35mm lens there last spring right after the tsunami in Japan. While places online were asking up to 50% over retail for this lens because they were in short supply Rowe's sold me one for $199.95 the normal retail price. If I have a question I can always depend on them to give me the right answer. They are local and they are where I go for my photo needs. Even if I can buy something elsewhere for a few bucks less I go there because I want them to be there hen I need them.
WalMart and the other big box stores may be a few bucks less but they can't compete in the knowledge arena.
