We have willfully given up our freedoms for all that many had died to establish over the centuries because of brainwashing by Homeland Security concerns. Of course freedom has risks. We have chosen no freedom to attain no risks. A suicidal terrorist need only pilot an auto into the wrong lane to achieve his goals. We live with this threat everyday, there is no way to eliminate all threats all the time. However, carrying a camera bag may mark you for terrorist profiling. I found that parking near a bridge and walking out to take a photo of the fall foliage over water profiled me as a terrorist threat. A state police officer escorted me away. I believe the freedoms we have lost for good to 'combat terrorists' to be a far bigger loss and and that is the real victory of the terrorists, not our safety but taking away our freedom.
