Oh yeah, definitely, absolutely more gun laws. After all, Chicago has done so well already with the most restrictive gun laws in the country that adding more is certain to be the answer.

So along those same lines, If a rape is committed then the appropriate thing to do is to write penis control laws.

How about police that are not afraid to patrol the hood. How about judges that are willing to keep the killers off the street. How about Jessie and Al, getting involved and demonstrate that they are interested in the welfare of all the people even when there is no money or fame for Al and Jessie. How about the NAACP do something for the forgotten people I could go on......

How about people just learning how to respect each other?

The difference is gun control works when done properly. Whole countries become safer places to live. Homicides go down, suicides go down, accidental shootings almost disappear and mass killings almost never happen.

You don't need to carry a gun in Australia, New Zealand, or most places in Scandinavia and Western Europe simply because almost no- one gets murdered on the kind of semi casual basis now common in America. Chicago does not have effective gun control compared to these countries.

Gun control stops legitimate gun owners from protecting themselves from criminals packing illegal guns, knives, clubs, and etc.

Criminals target gun free zones because they don't want to get shot by legitimate gun toting protectors of home, country, and family. Remember the theater massacre? It was the only one in town that openly prohibited legal concealed weapons. Same applies to gun free school zones, prime targets for criminals and kooks with weapons of all kinds.

History repeats itself; control guns to increase violent crime.

• In 1929, the Soviet Union established gun control. From 1929 to 1953, about 20 million dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
• In 1911, Turkey established gun control. From 1915 to 1917, 1.5 million Armenians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
• Germany established gun control in 1938 and from 1939 to 1945, a total of 13 million Jews and others who were unable to defend themselves were rounded up and exterminated.
• China established gun control in 1935. From 1948 to 1952, 20 million political dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
• Guatemala established gun control in 1964. From 1964 to 1981, 100,000 Mayan Indians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
• Uganda established gun control in 1970. From 1971 to 1979, 300,000 Christians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
• Cambodia established gun control in 1956. From 1975 to 1977, one million educated people, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
• Defenseless people rounded up and exterminated in the 20th Century because of gun control: 56 million..

Lets ban cars, they kill more people than all the other weapons combined. Stupid is as stupid does!

Here ya go. I think if we enact additional laws to ban the possession use and sales of Heroin, Meth, Crack, and coke our streets will be drug free. Oh, what? we have those laws? We still have a drug problem? Ok then, how about if we make Chicago a gun free zone..... Oh, yeah it is.......
